Who is Hospice Care for?
Hospice care is available and appropriate for anyone who has made the decision, along with their families and doctors, to change their goals from curative to comfort.

Who is qualified?
Assuming the disease process follows its normal course, any person certified by their attending physician to have a life expectancy of six months or less.

Will there be a need for a new physician?
In addition to the support of the Hospice Medical Director, the patient can, if they choose and their physician is agreeable, continue to see their Primary Care Physician.

Where is Hospice provided?
Hospice provides services that promote the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient and family in the patient’s home, or wherever the patient resides.

How is Hospice paid for?
ABRA Hospice accepts the Medicare and Medicaid Hospice Benefit. In addition, we work with each patient to maximize the value of whatever Private Insurance is in place.
